Pip-boy progress part 3

Description

Here's the interesting part of my progress, the electrical bits!

A few build notes because I ended up changing things after I took these photos and tested it.

The first photo is after sanding and trimming down the fiberglass, and applying the base coat. I had to go back and sand it some more after that, fffff. Didn't really get many other pics of the painting progress.

2. The flashlight I used. It was $10 at Ace Hardware. LOL, yes, those are coupons. They came in the mail and I didn't want them to go to waste so I used them to protect my table while I painted.

3. The inside of the flashlight. I cut the battery compartment out of the case because the entire case would not fit inside the pipboy.

4. This is photo is not accurate to the final piece in the last image. I replaced the white paper covering the LCDs with two sheets of lime green tissue paper. The white sheet under the screen (printed on transparency paper) was also replaced with a white sheet of tissue paper. The way I originally had it it glowed blue and I needed to add the green to balance it out. The very top is a thin sheet of hard plastic.

5. My ghetto installation. I wanted something I could easily remove to replace the batteries and screen (I need to get it reprinted later, it's slightly too big)

6. FINISHED!

This is seriously cool. Do you still have the papercraft pattern anywhere? I'm looking to scratchbuild one and am trying to create templates of my own and it's proving to be a real headache. This might be a better route - I've been googling like mad but haven't found any downloadable papercraft files of the pipboy yet. If you could provide it, I'd be very grateful!
